Interview with a vehicle broker superstar

Here is an interview with Tom Barton of GT Concierge.  Fascinating to see this entrepreneur's answers to our questions:

1. What do you enjoy most about what you do?

TOM: Saving my customers time and money as well as providing them with the advice they need to buy the correct vehicle. I also like the fact in many cases my customers end up with dealing with people or dealerships I have known for many years which ensures fantastic customer service. 

2. What advice would you give someone just starting out in the your line of business? 

TOM: Remember that customer service, honesty and a transparent way of conducting business are paramount to success - also if you say you are going to do something, do it!

3. What one thing would you do with your business if you knew you could not fail? 

TOM: Approach the PFA AGAIN for the supply contract to all the footballers!

4. What do you see as the coming trends in your sector of business? 

TOM: That due to the every growing internet and social media customers are less inclined to visit dealers to get lousy service which gives me more opportunities as they already have a lot of the information they need. 

5. Describe the strangest or funniest incident you?ve experienced in your business? 

TOM: We are talking about motor trade sales....... far too many to mention!!!!

6. What ways have you found to be the most effective for promoting your business? 

TOM: My existing customers, my hobby - golf and through business links such as the BNI.

7. What one sentence would you like people to use in describing the way you do business? 

TOM: Using GT Concierge is the only sensible way to buy a car - this is because it is a very simple business that promises great deals and customer service, it succeeds in both areas.
